What’s the plan?

Well, now that the day is over, I ask myself, “What’s the plan?” I clearly did not have a good plan in place for today’s goals, but there is always tomorrow.

My goal for tomorrow is lay out a plan, with clear ideas as to what needs to be achieved. Often times, days just get away from us and without a concrete plan in place, the days can just pass us by. How can we develop a plan and stick to it? Here is a few tips:

  1. Identify your goals – It could be anything like going to the gym, writing a business plan or making a home-cooked meal. Just list your goals on paper or your online calendar and stick to it.
  2. Create a timeline – Easier than it sounds, right? Well, if you know what your goals are, creating a timeline can be fairly simple. Just identify what needs to be achieved and set an amount of time, as you see fit, to take care of the task at hand. There is no wrong answer.
  3. Reward yourself – Sometimes, there are tasks that can be overwhelming to complete. But, once you get started and complete part of the task, you should reward yourself. Take 30 minutes to exercise, grab a bite to eat or call a friend. This small break can work as an energy boost to complete any other tasks that may be outstanding.

So, what are my goals for tomorrow? Participate in day 5 of the Blog-A-Day challenge, find a Business Mentor who can guide me as my business grows and find time to meditate and recharge my batteries. Running a business is tough, but the rewards are numerous.
